(Sherrie McCreedy Miethe)

Behind Nancy Hudson and seated from the left is Dr. Kahler, Bill Grace and the instrumental music teacher (his name escapes me).

The instrumental teacher's name was Mr. Chandler
(Deborah (Moss) Gamm)

3rd man from left sitting down was the ORCHESTRA (NOT instramental) teacher Dr. Chandler. We were one of only 40 high schools that still had a FULL Symphony Orchestra. As part of the Missouri State High-school Orchestra of over 300 student musicians strong, Oak Park HS Symphony students made up fully 1/3rd of it. We were also the only one to record an album (Handels Messiah comlete,)and the 75-76 students were the only ones to be invited to the all state student orchestra from the entire KC metro area. We were alsothe only high school students to be invited to play with the William Jewell Collge Community Orchestra and Chamber ensembles. Dr. Chandler made sure all that happened for us.
