Professor, University Of Texas After receiving her B.A. in music from UMKC, Kathleen went on to receive her M.A., M.Phil, and Ph.D from Yale in philosophy. She has taught at University of Cal, Riverside, University of Auckland, and was a Visiting Fellow of the Australian National University. She has been teaching at the University of Texas for over 20 years. A prolific writer and recognized Nietzsche scholar, her books include The Music of Our Lives, Nietzsche's Zarathustra, and she has co-edited numerous books with her husband, Professor Robert Solomon.
Kathleen has many awards, including the Dean's Fellowship from U of Texas, Alumni Achievement Award from UMKC, and the Rappaport-King Scholar Mentor Award from University of Texas. Kathleen lives in Austin, Texas.
